Not only is it the kids’ turn to get muddy, it’s also a chance to support their local schools and educators!

 

LIL’ SQUATCHES, a Kids Fun Run for students in K – 6th grades takes place:

Saturday, September 27, 2014!!

 

UPDATE: On-line registration is now CLOSED.  ‘Day-of’ registration is available!  Custom drawstring backpacks are first come, first served with ‘day-of’ registrations.  Merchandise will be available for purchase.  Short sleeve tshirt: $5, long sleeve tshirt: $10.  Quantities are limited!

 

    In 2013, with 546 students participating, a total of $13,650 awarded to 28 local private and/or public schools in Cowlitz County.

 What is Lil’ Squatches?

The most fun your little racers will have!! BCE, the team that brings you Ash Kicker, knows our children and yours have seen the obstacles, mud and fun at Ash Kicker and they want their turn!!  So we’ve delivered!  Get your Lil’ Squatches ready to crawl through kid-size obstacles, get muddy, wet and covered in foam all while running for an excellent cause: their school!


Who can participate in this Fun Run?

Any kiddo in grade K through 6th at the start of the 2014-2015 school year.  Simply register your racer(s) for their grade level and we’ll put them at the start line with all other Lil’ Squatches in that grade.

Where will this race be held?

All the fun is at the Toutle River RV Resort off I-5 at exit 52 in Castle Rock, WA!  Why not make Lil’ Squatches a camping weekend too!?!  Not only is Toutle River RV Resort home to Lil’ Squatches, the resort offers plenty to do after the event: playground, frisbee golf, swimming and more!!  Book your campsite today!!

What does the race cost?

$25.00 and 100% goes directly to the school you select during registration!

What’s included with registration?

Your Lil’ Squatches will LOVE their custom-graphic  nylon backpack full of goodies from our event sponsors!

Is there merchandise available?

While shirts can no longer be purchased on-line during registration, Merchandise will be available at the event.  Please know, the shirt order has been placed and quantities are limited.  Shirts will be available on a ‘first come, first served’ basis.  $5 for a classic white short sleeve tee or $10 for a long sleeve tee in Yellow or Moss.

Who will benefit from Lil’ Squatches?

It brings Bigfoot Community Events great pride to give 100% of Registration to local schools in Cowlitz County! During your on-line registration process, you’ll select a school for which you’d like to see receive your race participation proceeds! If you don’t see your school listed, please choose a school you’d like to support! When the dust has settled and the mud’s been washed off, BCE will tally all proceeds and present each school with their Lil’ Squatches Kids Fun Run race proceeds!! How cool is it to help your favorite local school?!

Will all participants run together?

No. The Lil’ Squatches will run in waves according to grade level to ensure their safety. For example, all Kindergarteners from all participating schools run at either the 9am wave or the 9:30am wave, all 1st graders run at 10am & 10:30am wave and so on. Your speedy Lil’ Squatches will be released in a staggered start to avoid Sasquatch Stampede at the start line. This event is not timed, all racers run individually and all are Winners! There are no teams, just great kids running within their grade level.

Can I run with my child?

Sorry, this one’s for the kids only! Spectators are welcome however, for everyone’s safety, please stay off the race course. There will be plenty of race officials stationed along the course to make sure all are safe and sound.

My kids run at different wave times, what’s there to do in the meantime?

Not only will your Lil’ Squatches have a blast on their race course, we have lots of action planned for them in the party field: food, entertainment and more! Let your kiddos race and then let them party!!

Is there a on-site parking?

Because everyone in Cowlitz County wants to be at this event, parking is limited. Please plan to carpool. Event parking: $5.

If our plans change and my child can’t participate, will I be refunded?

Registration is non-refundable. If one or all of your registered racers are unable to participate, their registration will be considered a charitable donation to the school for which was chosen during registration.

IMPORTANT!!  All race participants must have a signed waiver and release form!
